VIA Announces 2Q'03 Results

Taipei, Taiwan, 28th August 2003 - VIA Technologies, Inc, a leading innovator and developer of silicon chip technologies and PC platform solutions, today announced financial results for second quarter 2003.

Net sales for 2Q'03 were NT$4,041 million, and net income was negative NT$1,115 million. Based on the current 1,253.82 million shares outstanding, earnings per share were reported as negative NT$0.89.
